Antietam Drag-Free Drift
It’s what we all aim for—a drag-free drift on that dry fly that will coax that trout to eat. Well, this is the start of a blog open to all club members that hopefully will hook them into writing their own fishing stories, opinions, and random thoughts about fishing and the enjoyment and difficulties that go along with it. I hope it will keep the website active and demonstrate to the casual reader that visits out website that we are an active club that would love to share our love of fly fishing with them.
I’ll start by posing a few questions
- Now that the Beaver Creek Fly Shop has closed, how do you get your fly-fishing equipment?
- What are your favorite online fly shops and why?
- What guests or topics would you like to see at the Antietam Fly Anglers’ meetings?
- What conservation activities should we support?
Frank Morrisey and I have been working on a trash bag station for Beaver Creek that will supply trash bags for anglers so that they can remove trash from near and in the creek as they fish. We will show what we have produced when it gets close to installation. Any other ideas?
That’s all I have for now. Submit your ramblings to me at bruland3@outlook.com and I’ll make sure it gets posted.
Stay drag-free!
